Making Stars
Capstone worked with the Escambia County School district to open Capstone Academy – Pensacola Campus in 2004. It was the first, and remains the only Pre-Kindergarten, charter school in our area to incorporate therapies with specialized education for children from birth to five years old.

Free Public Charter Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten for Children (3 to 5 years old) with Developmental Delays/Disabilities Under the direction of licensed teachers and therapists, Capstone Academy provides educational opportunities based on each child’s individual educational plan. The classroom environment focuses on multi-modal communication, social skills, and positive reinforcement. Our mission is to help our students who may experience delays in one or more of the following areas before they enter Kindergarten: academic, social-emotional, independent functioning, and/or communication.

Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Services…
provides private outpatient speech, occupational, physical, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. We treat a variety of typical and atypical impairments and disorders. Doctor’s referral required. Please call (850) 453-7463 for more information.

Camps
Capstone Academy Pensacola provides half-day themed camps during the summer. Planned activities are provided by our licensed therapists. Ages may vary. Please call for more information.
Join Our Team!

All staff working in our school setting have passed a Level 2 background clearance, a drug screening, and HR requirements at time of hire. Our ESE teachers are required to be certified as required by 1012.56 F.S. Therapists are licensed and able to work in the state of Florida. Bus drivers must meet requirements of law and State Board of Education rules related to licensure, training, qualifications, and requests for driving history records.
